Playgrounds, Volleyball Courts and Tennis Courts to Close // Parques Infantiles, Canchas de Voleibol y Canchas de Tenis Se Van a Cerrar

The City of Santa Ana is closing its playgrounds, volleyball courts and tennis courts beginning Wednesday, April 1, in order to prevent gatherings and protect the public from COVID-19.

 

The City has already shuttered its enclosed parks, recreation and other facilities and canceled all programs and classes except the take-out senior meals program. Those include:

The City of Santa Ana today closed some parking lots and exercise zones at local parks to prevent people from gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

Additionally, the River View Golf Course has been closed until further notice.

UPDATED: Senior Meals Will Be Available on March 17

The Santa Ana Senior Center was closed to the public on Friday, March 13, and adult recreation classes were canceled in order to protect those most at risk of severe illness from COVID-19.

Beginning on Tuesday, March 17, Meals on Wheel will distribute frozen meals to the Senior Center that seniors who use the center's food program will be able to pick up. The Senior Center is at 424 W. 3rd St. and can be reached at (714) 647-6540.

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, all Senior Centers are closed except for the Meals on Wheels Program offering two ways for seniors to get their meals. The implementation of the programs is to protect the health and safety of all participants while taking all necessary and deliberative steps to assure continuity and avoid the disruption of nutritional services.
